5 of 5 Wow! I Can't Say Enough May 20, 2022
Reviewer: Anthony Thompson
Wow! I can't say enough about how these discs sound. I was skeptical until I heard them. I purchased volume 1 of "The Big Show" and am ecstatic. You don't know how many times I've replayed the theme on half a dozen different MP3 versions of the shows just to decipher the words to the theme song and it is crystal clear on each of the five episodes I purchased. I will soon be purchasing the other 2 sets. Thanks again!

5 of 5 Brings Back Such a World of Memories May 20, 2022
Reviewer: Bruce Ornsten
Gentlemen, I can't express my appreciation at the fabulous job you do on restoration of golden age network radio programs. I am listening to "The Big Show" with 'Talloo' (as Durante used to call her) and it brings back such a world of memories when I was a teenager listening to radio's last big gasp. It probably was what got me into radio and television broadcasting at the age of 20!

5 of 5 Quite a Revelation May 20, 2022
Reviewer: Jim Gaudet
THE BIG SHOW is quite a revelation for me. I am not a big fan of variety shows and was not very optimistic about this show. I have really enjoyed this collection, a great deal! The Eddie Cantor 'rap' about the treadmill of doing a weekly comedy program was particularly poignant for me. I felt he was really speaking from the heart. And I finally begin to understand that Fred Allen was a whole lot smarter than I have previously appreciated.

5 of 5 You Folks Do Wonderful Work May 20, 2022

You folks do wonderful work. Would also like to tell you how much I enjoyed your BIG SHOW CD's. I took them along on a recent plane trip, and it really made the time go by quickly and enjoyably. They brought back memories as a much younger man when my parents took us to New York City, and we had tickets to see a broadcast of NBC's The Big Show.

It was one of my daughters who somehow came across the information about the Big Show. It has just arrived. My children and grandchildren will certainly enjoy listening to it. It was a thrill for me to be part of this show.

5 of 5 The biggest or longest of all Radio Shows? May 20, 2022
Reviewer: Richard McLeod from RIVERSIDE, CA United States
If ever a Radio Show was appropriately given a title or Show's name, it is this one.  This particular Radio Show is often referred to as the greatest Radio Show ever produced.  Well, that may be up for debate, but one cannot overlook the fact that this particular Radio Show with Tallulah Bankhead as the Hostess, was the perfect last big show of the Golden Age of Radio and probably the longest continuously running show in vintage radio history.

Most radio shows from the Golden Age were in 15, 30 or 60 minute time slots.  Not so with "The Big Show".  "The Big Show" was a full 90 minutes for every week during its' run of 57 shows from 1950 until 1952. If you consider the 90 minute length of the program, "The Big Show" had a much longer run in time comparison's to other radio shows.

The sound quality is exceptional and better than from any other source I have purchased from in the past.  "The Big Show" sounds as if the programs were being aired LIVE today.  And that is amazing!

5 of 5 Utterly WOW! April 22, 2013
Reviewer: Andy Wood from West Yorkshire, ENGLAND United Kingdom
Oh my goodness!!! This has forever been one of my favourite radio classics and I'm very familiar with every episode from constant re-listening over the years. Some have been decent sound others pretty bad but I grew to love them despite this, "knowing" that's the best there was available. Then THIS!

I almost got a lump in my throat hearing these versions which are so perfect, they sound like they've just been transcribed!!! I'm awestruck! This gives me so much hope for other great programs that I figured were never going to be upgraded sound-wise!
