The biggest or longest of all Radio Shows?
May 20, 2022
Reviewer: Richard McLeod from RIVERSIDE, CA United States
If ever a Radio Show was appropriately given a title or Show's name, it is this one. This particular Radio Show is often referred to as the greatest Radio Show ever produced. Well, that may be up for debate, but one cannot overlook the fact that this particular Radio Show with Tallulah Bankhead as the Hostess, was the perfect last big show of the Golden Age of Radio and probably the longest continuously running show in vintage radio history.
Most radio shows from the Golden Age were in 15, 30 or 60 minute time slots. Not so with "The Big Show". "The Big Show" was a full 90 minutes for every week during its' run of 57 shows from 1950 until 1952. If you consider the 90 minute length of the program, "The Big Show" had a much longer run in time comparison's to other radio shows.
The sound quality is exceptional and better than from any other source I have purchased from in the past. "The Big Show" sounds as if the programs were being aired LIVE today. And that is amazing!

Utterly WOW!
April 22, 2013
Reviewer: Andy Wood from West Yorkshire, ENGLAND United Kingdom
Oh my goodness!!! This has forever been one of my favourite radio classics and I'm very familiar with every episode from constant re-listening over the years. Some have been decent sound others pretty bad but I grew to love them despite this, "knowing" that's the best there was available. Then THIS!
I almost got a lump in my throat hearing these versions which are so perfect, they sound like they've just been transcribed!!! I'm awestruck! This gives me so much hope for other great programs that I figured were never going to be upgraded sound-wise!
