5 of 5 High Quality! March 6, 2023
Reviewer: Russ Gifford from South Sioux City, NE United States
I doubt original listeners heard these stories in this quality! GREAT copies, and the talents involved in these programs shine across the decades. I am NOT really a fan of westerns - but your review sold me that I should try these - and I am glad I did. Thank you!

5 of 5 Thank You So Much May 24, 2022
Reviewer: John Roach from Kingston, Illinois
I received this in the mail recently and wanted to say thank you so much. I cannot believe how beautiful it sounds! Although by now, being a fairly regular customer, you'd think I'd be used to nothing BUT quality from RadioArchives.com. I guess the honeymoon's not over yet! Sigh!"

5 of 5 wish there were more episodes! May 24, 2022
Reviewer: Brad from Ferndale, CA United States
I'd never heard of this show but decided to take a chance and I'm sure glad I did. My 9 and 13 year old kids and I listened to these shows, one a night, and were all very sad when they ended. An entertaining show that made fans of the three of us. And the audio is so crisp and clear that they might have been coming live over the radio to us...if our reception was better and if radio still produced entertainment of this quality, that is!

Keep up the great work, Folks. It is greatly appreciated.

4 of 5 One of Radios last Western Programs........ May 24, 2022
Reviewer: Richard McLeod from RIVERSIDE, CA United States
Luke Slaughter of Tombstone proved an interesting example of the popular "Adult Western" in the 1950's.  As noted, it ran for only 18 episodes.  As to why the show did not endure, there are possibly many reasons, but the lead character seemed to lack the charisma that was not the case with such an Actor as William Conrad, who had no lack of charisma and how could any Western really compete with Gunsmoke?
And television was taking over where once there had been only radio, so the show didn't have much of a chance from the very beginning.  If any show has good writer's, direction, character actor's for additional support, but lacks the charisma in the lead actor, the show is generally doomed, which just may have been the case with Luke Slaughter.
The Radio Archives staff has restored this unique and rare show back to a level of clarity in sound that would rival the initial broadcasts.

It was nice to get something that was only on a short time. Compared favorably to Gunsmoke and Dr Six Gun. I'd recommend it to any one who likes western type radio drama.
