These radio shows, as noted in the commentary were thought lost for years. Harold Lloyd's Estate in Beverly Hills is one of the grandest homes left over from the Golden Age of Hollywood and named "Greenacres". The transcription discs were found in the basement of "Greenacres" after Harold Lloyd's death in 1971.This series has a wonderful musical score with each episode from a famous comedy film of the time or earlier. Harold Lloyd directed, hosted and acted in each show. Though each episode could have benefitted from a 1 hour slot as opposed to 30 minutes each, they are still unique and have a star studded cast and well written which helps to make up for the shorter time slot.The Radio Archives staff have restored these original discs from Harold Lloyd's home to pristine sound quality. Two volumes comprise all but 2 of the original radio shows. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The sound restoration on "The Old Gold Comedy Theatre" is a masterpiece. I could hardly believe that these CD's were once 78rpm records. Great job, It's a "keeper"!

The CD's of "The Old Gold Comedy Theatre" arrived today and what little I've heard sounds fantastic! I am a very happy camper! I will definitely place more orders at some point down the road and I know that the quality will be wonderful. Keep up the great work!
