Doc Savage Audiobook
Phantom Lagoon
by Will Murray and Lester Dent writing as Kenneth Robeson
Read by Michael McConnohie

When a brazen adventuress tries to hire Doc Savage for a secret mission—but won’t tell him why—it lights the fuse for one of the most explosive exploits ever to involve the Man of Bronze.

Who is Hornetta Hale? Why does she need to rent Doc’s private submarine? And who is so determined to eliminate her that they destroy Doc Savage’s skyscraper headquarters in the process?

From Manhattan Island to the Caribbean Sea, Doc and his fighting crew chase the most violent gang of criminals they have ever encountered in a desperate race to unlock the secret of Phantom Lagoon. Or are they more than mere criminals?

Rousing Doc Savage Adventure! June 28, 2018
Reviewer: Joseph Allen from Jacksonville, FL United States
Just finished listening to "Doc Savage - Phantom Lagoon" by Will Murray: a.k.a.William Patrick Murray, based on a concept by Lester Dent, released by Radio Archives.
Murray is Den't literary heir and like Dent, Murray grounds Doc Savage in a solid realism that doesn't make him seem like an impossible superman.  So I always relish and devour each new adventure of Doc Savage that Murray chronicles in his "The Wild Adventures of Doc Savage" series.
Hornetta Hale does cause Doc and his men a lot of trouble.  Rescued after being stranded on a deserted island key, Hornetta manages to cause Doc's headquarters on the 86th floor of the Emprie State Building to be blown up and also causes the rampant destruction of the Hidalgo Trading Company - the warehouse that houses Doc's planes, boats, submarine, and dirigible.
Michael MvConnohie gives an outstanding performance and resoundingly brings this Doc Savage adventure to life
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
FIVE STARS!

Excellent Narration of new Doc saga June 14, 2018
Reviewer: Michael Spitzer from Southwest Ranches, FL United States
Another fine addition to the Doc Savage collection.

I confess I am partial to the original pulp stories from 1933-1039 best .... but Will Murray does a great job keeping Doc alive today.
