Confederate resistance collapsed after Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Union General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865.

I just wanted to write to say that I thoroughly enjoyed your collection, The Civil War. Being a history buff, I found your collection of radio shows, which includes the Cavalcade of America, Hallmark Playhouse, and Destination Freedom, among others, about the U.S. Civil War, very entertaining.
