The War Between the States has been taught, revised, and oftentimes changed to fit a form of Political Correctness, especially today.
The closer a source of information is to the actual events can oftentimes relate the material in a much more truthful manner.
The Radio material presented here, although adapted from actual Historical Events, can oftentimes be more factually correct than what is taught in the History Classes of today.
Such seems to be the case with this series of Radio Shows, as even though they were adapted for Radio Entertainment, can relate History in a more truthful manner than one would think to be the case.
As an added Bonus, there is a CD of the Radio Show, "Mr. President" with Edward Arnold, which was very popular at the time and is both educational and enjoyable.
Also, the listener gets to hear a former President of the United States play another President, in the story of Ulysses S. Grant played by future President, Ronald Reagan.

I just wanted to write to say that I thoroughly enjoyed your collection, The Civil War. Being a history buff, I found your collection of radio shows, which includes the Cavalcade of America, Hallmark Playhouse, and Destination Freedom, among others, about the U.S. Civil War, very entertaining. Keep up the good work.
