Total Pulp Experience. These exciting pulp adventures have been beautifully reformatted for easy reading as an eBook and features every story, every editorial, and every column of the original pulp magazine. As a special bonus, Will Murray has written an introduction especially for this series of eBooks.

Jimmy Christopher, clean-cut, square-jawed and clear-eyed, was the star of the most audacious pulp magazines ever conceived — Operator #5. Savage would-be conquerors, creepy cults, weird weather-controllers and famine-creating menaces to our mid-western breadbasket... these were but a few of the fiendish horrors that Jimmy Christopher was forced to confront. Operator #5 returns in vintage pulp tales, reissued for today’s readers in electronic format.

5 of 5 A classic July 19, 2021

The Operator 5 series is famous for its 13-part Purple Invasion storyline, and no wonder: they are a fantastic read. So I was very curious to reach this volume, to see how the series would continue. How do you follow up such an apocalyptic event?

Well, the answer is as unique as the Purple Invasion itself: a Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic world, ravaged by war, filled with chaos, our continent barely able to defend itself against the next menace just around the corner… yet another new twist on the original premise of the series.

Definitely do yourself a favor: come for the Purple Wars, stay for the aftermath..! Emile Tupperman’s last Operator 5 novel was, for me, one of the most interesting, because of its imaginative post-war setting.
