Radio Preservation has always been at the core of Radio Archives. This exciting series is derived from our massive collection of thirty thousand radio shows from 16" transcription discs and fifty thousand shows from low generation reels.

This 20 hour collection includes shows from the classic days of Radio. You'll find rare and obscure as well as mainstream radio shows from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s in the Radio Archives Treasures sets.

These shows have all been restored with state-of-the-art CEDAR technology - the audio processing system used by major recording companies to restore older recordings. We expect the shows to be the best sounding copies available anywhere.

Radio Archives Treasures are available as MP3 digital downloads or Audio CDs, restored to sparkling digital quality.

Volume 23 continues to provide unique and rare radio programs that probably have not been heard since they were initially broadcast.

Such is the case with "Sorry, Wrong Number", in a rare 60 minute version, allowing for a greater development of the storyline as written by Lucille Fletcher.  This 60 minute version was the first show of the second season on the Australian LUX Radio Theatre and starred Miriam Hopkins accompanied by the creme of Australian radio actors of the time.  Miriam Hopkins gives an amazing performance that only enhances one of the most powerful radio dramas ever written.

To my knowledge, all previous broadcasts of "Sorry, Wrong Number" were on SUSPENSE and starred the talented Agnes Moorehead in the 30 minute time-slot.

The Radio Archives staff has restored these radio shows to a level of audio clarity that is truly amazing, especially for radio shows dating back to the 1930's such as the charming "Little Jack Little".

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
