If you've fed yourself on the most well-known names like Marlowe and Spade, you owe it to yourself to experience Let George Do It.
While I can live without great audio, I have to applaud the fantastic audio that Radio Archives offered on this collection. I've listened to modern Audio Dramas I've purchased off Itunes and the audio sounds just as crisp. While I enjoy Let George Do It even with the snap, crackle, and pop, RA's audio made it even better.
Criticisms? The announcer that Goodman used in place of the Mutual announcer was irritating in the first few episodes, but I blame Harry Goodman for that, not Radio Archives. Also, the back cover copy said that George was a former cop. However, George was actually a former GI, unless there's back story about a police career provided in an episode I haven't heard yet.
However, these are minor issues. Five Star Story quality and Six Star sound quality more than make up for it.

I am writing to praise your recent selections as truly amazing entertainment! The LET GEORGE DO IT, Vol 1, was a whole lot of fun. I am a P.I. fan from way back, and really looked forward to this collection. And it lived up to my fondest hopes. I especially enjoyed the last episode, "Sucker Stunt". This collection was a whole lot of fun. More please!!!
