I Love a Mystery

Carlton E. MorseCreated by Carlton E. Morse, "I Love a Mystery" followed the exploits of a trio of soldiers of fortune, Jack Packard, Doc Long, and Reggie York. Under the auspices of the A-1 Detective Agency, Jack, Doc, and Reggie traveled the four corners of the world in search of action, thrills, and mystery. The plots bordered on the supernatural and the macabre, but always ended with plausible results. Told in quarter-hour installments, Monday thru Friday, the shows riveted the listener to their radio.

With audiences clamoring for more, Morse penned a simultaneous series of 30-minute weekly adventures called "I Love Adventure". This series had our heroes rejoining forces after the war had split them apart.

Morse later created a third series of high adventure, "Adventures by Morse". Similar in feel to his other shows, it centered on the globetrotting exploits of San Francisco-based detective Captain Bart Friday and his laconic sidekick Skip Turner in a series of weird and eerie tales.

This one-of-a-kind collection of Morse mysteries will demonstrate why many believe these to be the greatest radio programs ever produced. Here is the complete content of this 20-hour set:
