Stories from the Golden Age
An extensive new lineup of print and audio books by, L. Ron Hubbard, a prolific pulp fiction writer. Galaxy Press is building on the growing interest in pulp fiction as evidenced by Hollywood's use of pulp fiction in many of today's top grossing movies by republishing Hubbard's entire 1930s and 40s pulp fiction list.
The 153-story pulp series, published under the line Stories from the Golden Age, will include adventures, westerns, mysteries, suspense thrillers, science fiction and fantasy. Each will include the original pulp art and illustrations from the period to recreate the stories. And with titles as colorful as the artwork Spy Killer, The Planet Makers, The Mad Dog Murder and Sabotage in the Sky to name a few the series will have the authentic look and feel of the golden age of pulp.
In addition to the print versions, each book has been produced as an unabridged multi-cast recording, done in the style of the radio dramas of the period, but enhanced with all the advantages of modern recording technology and includes original music scores and sound effects.
Pulp magazines and the authors who wrote for them had millions of fans. During that period, over 40 million Americans eagerly awaited the next issue of their favorite magazines.
